HMR-8 has a rounded narrow head (face diameters: 19 x 6mm) designed for embossing pods and other oblong shapes. Smoother overlapping marks are easier on long thin shapes than with a larger round embossing hammer. Fretz casts their hammer heads from 420 stainless steel and tool hardens them to 50 HRC. The handles are made from oiled hardwood shaped and weighted to balance the head perfectly. Made in Vietnam.
